Why is the sound on my Samsung TV not working?

Why is my sound bar not working on my TV?

Wasn’t an issue with my previous M550 soundbar, just with the new Q60T one. First thing to try is to use the “Universal Remote” option on the tv to setup the tv remote to control the soundbar.

Goto System Preferences -> Sound -> Check “Show Volume in the menu bar”. Then from the Volume Bar in the menu bar change the “Output” back to “MacBook Pro Speakers” For anyone who might have the same problem, it seems to be a weird bug on High Sierra at least.
