If you select THX before you run the MCACC, it’ll keep the crossover point at 80Hz rather than setting it to what it thinks it should be. Ideal for small speakers. Thanks I’ll give it a whirl. Can you play video on a pioneer lx83?
Audio is played through the USB connection and yes it is digital. Video is carried by the yellow connection and is not needed for listening to music. I’m not sure about the intermitent audio issue, apart from maybe a problem with the tracks in iTUnes.

Simultaneously pressing and holding the “Zone On/Off” and the “Down” button reset the receiver, and the unite powered on.

The problem in my case was due to the overload protection software triggering that puts the unit into a permanent ‘fault’ condition which can’t be reset by simply powering down and up again. I tried Google for helpful suggestions of holding down multiple buttons such as stop and power when plugging in but this did not work.
