Which is better Rotel 951 or Rotel 985?
Which is better Rotel 951 or Rotel 985?
The laid back, sweet sound, so near to that Hi Fi sound, is much more apparent in the 951 than the 985 MkII. I advise the smaller amp for a stereo setup. Now, for a five channel, the bigger Rotel, being 5 channels, THX certified, and the boost in power it offers, makes it a fine choice for the money.
Is the Rotel RB 985 THX amplifier good for movies?
Powers 3 front and 2 surrounds of a Kef THX Reference system, rated for 150-200W, in conjunction with a Denon AVR-X4000. I have an Avr-x2400h in other room with B&W M1 system, in a much smaller room. It’s frequently at -10db for movies. The Rotel & Denon & Kef combo rarely gets above -20db! Never let’s me down.
Which is better for sound NAD or Rotel?
As KC rightfully noted, NAD had serious QC issues a few years back while Rotel has enjoyed a stellar reputation for quality and bang-for-buck for over 20 years. That alone would make me lean more towards Rotel. Bottom line however is that you’ll need to hook both of them up to your speakers and see which sounds best as a system.
How big is the Rotel rmb-1075 power amplifier?
The relatively compact RMB-1075 is smaller than any other amplifier I currently have in my studio, and, at a mere 43 lbs, the most manageable. But while small in stature, it couldn’t be called a lightweight—like that weight-lifting boy who used to show up in all our comic books, the RMB-1075 had strengths that belied its size.
Is the Rotel rb-985 a 5 channel amplifier?
The RB-985 five-channel power amplifier is a recent addition to the Rotel product line. As the model number indicates, it is approved by Lucas-film to carry the THX logo on its panel.
Which is better, a Rotel or a NAD integrated?
Two NAD integrateds, and a Rotel integrated, as well as a Rotel power amp. Here’s my take: NAD Amps have been quite consistently good – for their price…they have been made in China as far back as I know them circa 1996…and have been very good. They had a dismal few years from 1996-1999 or so…seemed to have corrected any issues though.
How much does a Rotel nad speaker cost?
The point is that the speakers are pretty in-efficient, and so would typically require 100 Watts of SS amplification, but my 50 Watt Tube amp makes Music …. loud enough. The NAD 320BEE is $400 and is listed by The Absolute Sound as an Editor’ choice; it is also listed by Stereophile as a Recommended Component.
What kind of tuner does a Rotel receiver need?
I would like at least 100 W/ch. The units I am looking at is the Rotel RX-1052 receiver or the NAD C372 integrated amp together with the NAD C422 tuner.
