Where are the optical audio lines on the Onkyo?
The Onkyo has 2 optical audio lines in in the back. When I hit the “digital input” button on the front of receiver, I can select from OPT1, OPT2, or COAX. I currently have the optical audio line going into OPT2, but if I select OPT2, I hear no sound.

Where does the optical cable connect to the receiver?
The Optical cable doesn’t connect to a “function” in the back, it connects to an “input”. The receiver gives you the freedom to use different inputs with different functions.
