When did the Bose control pod stop working?

Used it for a little over a year before it stopped working. Back in 2009 when it stopped working, I called Bose and they suggested I buy another control pod (which I did for around $85) and that did not solve the problem. I then moved to a new home, packed it securely in a sealed box where it stayed until a few days ago.

Why is my Bose Companion 5 not working?

There has to be a failure within the module control board or the wiring between the bass module and the control pod.

There is no way to pinpoint without testing, and bose doesn’t really like to make parts available either…. they like everything to pretty much only be sent in to them. My honest opinion, you can purchase something nicer for less.

My control pod got it worst of all. Now the headphone jacks are shot and the volume wheel is sticky. Glad to find a replacement. Saw other reviews. Mine worked great for a dozen years & would still be going strong.
