Is the Denon DRM 740 a good tape?

The DRM-740 is a light weight piece of junk. Run, do not walk, away from Denon as fast as you can. Absolutely the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever purchased. Every tape I own squeals when attempting to be played.

Is the Denon 2400h compatible with Alexa?

This is almost certainly an obvious answer to most, but I cannot find a straight answer for the life of me, I just purchased a Denon 2400h, which states is Alexa compatible. My thought was I could buy this thing, and give it commands like power on/Power off.

What’s the difference between Echo Dot and Denon?

The difference between the Dot and the Echo is size and speaker quality. So, if your receiver is Alexa ready and is connected to WiFi, the Dot should work with it. Remember, I’m not tech support and I don’t know for sure I’m right. You could call Amazon or Denon to verify.

What can you do with a Denon dot?

I use a Dot hard wired to a small speaker but can also tell the Dot to connect to Marantz and it will turn on the receiver, switch it to bluetooth and begin playing music through the big system. I can also use the Dot to turn on and off TV, lights, fireplace, fans, security cameras, music in different rooms and more.

Where is the idler tire on a Denon DRM 740?

The outer case screws seat into plastic struts inside the chassis, and these are really easy to strip. The knobs and buttons don’t have much weight to them, and the cassette door is flimsy and unimpressive. I had to replace the mechanism idler tire (part 41); luckily, replacement belts are still available online at the time of this review.

Where is tape eject located on a cassette deck?

Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
