How to fix Bose charger with no lights?
As noted above and elsewhere press the start/pause button for 15 secs with the device plugged in (even though there are no lights), unplug from the charger after 15 secs and release the button. Remember also to go to to update the software. I had almost given up on my device but these steps fixed it

How do you drain a Bose mini battery?
You can drain the battery a lot faster by turning the volume up. It’ll show the red charging light for a while until it turns itself off, then put it on the charger. EDIT: BOSE has removed the previous version of the software from their page. Plug the speaker into power. Hold the mute/multi-function button down for 10 seconds (lights will flash).
