How do I get sound from my Denon receiver to my TV?

To turn on HDMI control in the receiver, press the SETUP button on the remote, select VIDEO, then HDMI Setup. In that menu, you will be able to turn on HDMI Control. Once HDMI Control is turned on, the receiver will accept the ARC audio from the TV.

Are there any issues with the Denon avr-x1600h?

I recently purchased a Denon AVR-X1600H. I’m having three issues. Does anyone have any feedback on how to address them? 1) When I enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode, my receiver won’t show up on either my phone’s or my laptop’s bluetooth list.

Why is my arc not working on my Denon TV?

Also ARC appears to be on at both the Denon and LG TV. ARC/CEC issues are not uncommon. The culprit is usually CEC because of non-standardized protocols. The device mfrs are free to implement whichever protocols they want for whatever reasons they choose to do so. It can work for awhile and then have issues after an update or a change in devices.

What kind of signal does the Denon AVR get?

The ARC connection provided a Dolby Atmos signal to the AVR which plays as 7.2 to my speakers. I learned over in the Denon receiver thread that the signal is contained in a Dolby digital lossy package. I thought the eARC carried a lossless signal. It will, but eARC is not yet implemented.

Can a HDMI cable be used with an AVR?

Using the Optical cable between the TV and the AVR may still allow you to access DD+ – you will need to test that out. It could help to make sure that you choose HDMI outputs and inputs on bot TV and Receiver that support ARC. Usually they are marked ARC, or the manual specifies which ones are for ARC.

Which is better Denon X1600 or X2700?

The X1600 with 80w should be adeuate for your speakers but the X2700 will be better with 95w. I think the X3700 is overkill with Q7000i but it will give you the option to add an integrated amp to drive the Front L&R speakers, if you later wish to do so.

What’s the difference between 1600 and 2700 AVR?

Some people say that apart from bit more power, there isn’t a big difference between 1600 and 2700, so it’s almost not worth making the step up and advise jumping straight to the 3700 or so. Again any thoughts? 1. Get a Premium Certified HDMI cable (actually 2) and replace Sky to AVR and AVR to TV.
