How did I set off my Veritas alarm?

Why does my Texicom Veritas R8 alarm keep going off?

Ive just recently visited a client who has a texicom Veritas R8. Symptoms are that the Alarm repeatedly keeps going off at random times. They said that they have had the external sounder changed a year ago, and that the control panel battery was last changed around 4 years ago.

Is there a way to silence the Veritas Bell?

N.B. just snipping the wire to the bell won’t silence it as most bell boxes have batteries inside them. To silence your Veritas alarm when it’s not set, type your user code into your keypad and press [RESET] button – this should then stop the alarm from making a noise.

Why is my Veritas alarm bell still ringing?

If once you’ve unset your Veritas alarm, one of the lights on the keypad is still flashing – this is an indication of the fact that this zone was triggered and / or there is a fault on one of these zones. N.B. if the flashing light won’t turn off on your Veritas alarm, then this means that there is a fault on that zone.
