Does Onkyo receiver support Arc?
Does Onkyo receiver support Arc?
no matter what, the onkyo will switch to the TV/CD for anything using ARC. any BD player with CEC enabled should set up the onkyo properly when powered on (if so desired).
How does arc work on an Onkyo tx-nr727?
It’s connected to an Onkyo TX-NR727 via HDMI. I have AT uverse also connected to the Onkyo. ARC is enabled in the receiver and the TV, they are connected via HDMI 2/ARC on the LG and Monitor Out on the Onkyo. Audio from uverse is coming via HDMI into the receiver and works fine on HDMI input 3. Video is working fine.
Why is my Onkyo tx-rz800 not working?
The issue is I can’t get the projector to show any output, via the amp. If I connect the player straight to the 10m HDMI cable for the projector it works fine, so the cables ok and the resolutions (1080P) are set correctly between source and screen.
Why does Onkyo automatically switch to arc input?
The receiver automatically switches to the ARC input because of the CEC functioning between the TV and receiver. It doesn’t know what you want to switch to when you are done so you have to do it yourself. It doesn’t make sense to pass the audio into the TV and back to the receiver.
Why does my Onkyo tx-646 not turn on?
Perhaps a newer Yamaha that is HDCP 2.2 compatible for future use. I’m having this same problem with my Onkyo TX-646. The receiver no longer turns on when I turn the TV on and other issues. I now have to have the receiver connected via optical cable for it to work.

Why does my arc and Cec stop working on my tx-nr626?
And the same thing happend on my 656. But mine stopped working after the latest firmware upgrade, which I installed a couple of days before but never noticed till I tried watching something on the netflix app on my tv. This really seems to be a major issue right across the TX-NR range. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware on these receivers?
