How to fix a Denon AVR s740h HDMI issue?

1) Resetting the power to both the TV and receiver. 2) Reinserting the HDMI cable (this is a high speed ethernet HDMI. The same cable works with ARC / HDMI CEC on a receiver I tested at a different house so I know it’s not a problem with the HDMI cable). 3) Resetting the configuration on the receiver to start from scratch.

What is the HDMI port on Denon av7704?

On the AV7704 the only HDMI port used is port 3 that is labeled Blu-Ray by default. This isn’t a complex system. 3) Hitting CBL/SAT on the AV7704 remote returns from the OPPO to the signal originating from the TV with ARC used for audio.

Can a Denon 2113avr use a subwoofer?

The manual isn’t clear but it might well be the case that direct mode will not use the sub. It does say that regular stereo (i.e. not direct) mode will output to the sub as well though. Failing that I would guess you will need to connect to a TV and bring up the speaker configuration menu unfortunately. I have a Denon 2113AVR which works well.

Is the av7704 the same as the x4400h?

The AV7704 is essentially (or exactly) the same as the X4400H on the digital hardware side. Certainly the firmware must be similar. I mainly use the Internet, via the B6, as a source. ARC and CEC work well for me. 1) Turning on the B6 also turns on the AV7704 and shows the “Marantz” screen.

Can a universal remote work with an AVR?

There are universal remotes that can do both or you can use an IR extender or something, too. You could take your chances that the avr is faulty and try another. Hard to know.
