Can you watch EPG on Humax HDR without internet?

The new firmware has fixed the usage problem and it now appears to get Showcase and Catch Up Epg data OTA (these populate without the lan connection, you can’t of course watch the content ). Updates are also OTA though IP updating is also possible.

Why does my Humax 1000t 4Tune not work?

Set up wireless network on 5 gig, configured the device in MyHumax account, now the flipping server does not run although it says it is running there is no IP address nor no port number displayed and I cannot connect to it with the live TV app on my Android. WIth the FVP-5000T you can make a Sunday Roast while waiting for the EPG. The quarter second was referring to ANY button press, even just a channel number. It will take forever to type the three digit number of a HD channel and then you may as well go make a cuppa while you wait for it to actually change channel.

Why is there No EPG on my Humax?

Rebooted and did disk cleanup, but no difference. A bit relieved as thought my box may finally be going. No EPG at all and recording failed. I gather this has been the case since about 5pm yesterday. Is the Humax Foxsat HD compatible with Freesat?

Update: Freesat obviously have EPG problems. I also have a Humax Foxsat HD machine and had set Hard Sun on BBC1HD to record on both machines. The recording has failed on both. I had also set The Voice UK to record on the HDR1010. When that failed as a planned recording, I started recording it manually.
