What should I do if my subwoofer is not working?

Set the volume on the back of the active subwoofer to the middle position. If the subwoofer has a cut off frequency adjustment, set it to the maximum position to pass all low frequencies to the subwoofer. If your subwoofer has a standby function, turn it off.

Why does my pioneer subwoofer not turn on?

They are the Definitive Technology Procinema 60.6. The front speakers, center speaker, and surround speakers work, but my receiver (Pioneer VSX-522-K) can’t detect my subwoofer. It doesn’t even automatically turn on, there is no on/off switch on the sub.

Why is my subwoofer not coming out of standby mode?

One thing you might try is turning down the volume on the subwoofer and then turning up the volume in the receiver….this will send a hotter signal from the receiver to the subwoofer. You can also turn down the levels of the main speakers too.

Can a subwoofer be left on continously?

Other than leaving it on continously or manually powering it on/off, does anyone have any suggestions with regards to changing settings on the subwoofer and/or receiver that might correct this situation? Thanking everyone in advance… John.

Why does my Denon subwoofer not work in stereo?

You will have to leave the Denon in a stereo set up from the audio settings, think it’s the green button on the remote. If you use Direct or Pure Direct or have the speakers set as large then the sub will not be active from a stereo signal. @zapp brannigan Welcome to the Forum.

Why do I not get thumping sound from my subwoofer?

If you do not hear a thumping sound then there is a possible service issue with the subwoofer. Connect the other end of the subwoofer cable to the subwoofer audio output connector on the back of the receiver. NOTE: Some receiver models may have two outputs to drive two subwoofers.
